Counselor-in-Training  Leadership Program

WHAT IS IT?

Our CIT Program is a selective leadership apprenticeship for teens, ages 14-16, ready to earn responsibility and grow into confident leaders. With limited spots, higher standards, and real evaluations, this is an opportunity families plan for. CITs who excel earn leadership recommendations that open doors beyond Momentum³. Applications are competitive. Upon successful admission, CITs choose the 3 or 4 weeks for which they are available. Sessions begin June 15th!

​WEEKLY LEADERSHIP TRACK

Week 1: Showing Up Like a Leader
Responsibility, punctuality, modeling behavior

Week 2: Communication & Teamwork
Listening, feedback, working with staff

 

Week 3: Responsibility Under Pressure
Decision-making, emotional control, safety awareness

 

Week 4: Leading by Example
Initiative, ownership, representing Momentum³ culture

1. Is this a volunteer program?
No. This is a leadership apprenticeship with structured expectations and evaluations.

 

2. Is acceptance guaranteed if we apply early?
No. Applications are reviewed individually and accepted based on readiness and fit.

 

3. Will CITs be alone with campers?
Never. CITs are always supervised and assigned to a coach or program director.

 

4. What happens if a CIT breaks the rules?
CITs are held to strict conduct standards. Violations may result in removal without refund.

5. Do parents receive feedback?
Yes. Final evaluations are shared with both the teen and parent.

 

6. What should CITs wear?
CITs receive an official Momentum³ CIT shirt and must wear appropriate athletic gear.

7. Do program weeks need to be consecutive?

No. Upon successful admission, CITs choose the 3 or 4 weeks for which they are available.
